The Science Behind

How Flubendiamide 20% WG Works

Understanding how Flubendiamide 20% WG controls Lepidopteran pests through ryanodine receptor action, calcium ion imbalance, rapid feeding stoppage, larval paralysis, and long-duration crop protection.

Flubendiamide 20% WG

Flubendiamide 20% WG contains Flubendiamide 20% WG, a new generation diamide insecticide in water-dispersible granule form. Flubendiamide binds to ryanodine receptors in the insect muscular system, keeping receptor channels open for a longer time. This causes uncontrolled calcium ion release, abnormal muscle contractions, feeding stoppage, numbness, paralysis, and death of target pests. It is especially useful for managing Lepidopteran larvae such as stem borer, leaf folder, bollworm, fruit borer, pod borer, diamondback moth, Spodoptera, semilooper, Helicoverpa, and early shoot borer.

  • Ryanodine Receptor Action

Flubendiamide affects insect muscle function by acting on ryanodine receptors and disturbing calcium ion balance.

  • Fast Feeding Stoppage

Target pests stop feeding quickly after exposure, reducing crop damage at an early stage..

  • Long-Duration Pest Control

Provides 15–20 days of effectiveness support when applied as recommended, helping maintain crop protection for a longer period.

The Diamide Pest Control Process

  1. 1

    Foliar Application

Apply Flubendiamide 20% WG as a foliar spray on recommended crops as per dosage guidance.

  2. 2

    Pest Exposure

Target larvae and chewing pests are exposed to the active ingredient through treated crop surfaces and feeding activity.

  3. 3

    Muscle System Disruption

Flubendiamide acts on ryanodine receptors, causing uncontrolled muscle contractions, paralysis, and pest control.

  4. 4

    Crop Protection Response

The crop receives reduced feeding damage, better pest protection, improved crop growth, and stronger yield potential.

The Complete Process

  1. Foliar Spray Application

Flubendiamide 20% WG is applied at 50–100 gm per acre as per crop, pest pressure, and expert recommendation.

  2. Exposure of Target Pests

Lepidopteran larvae and chewing pests come in contact with treated plant parts or feed on treated foliage.

  3. Ryanodine Receptor Activation

Flubendiamide binds to ryanodine receptors and disturbs calcium movement in the insect muscular system.

  4. Feeding Stop & Paralysis

Pests stop feeding quickly, followed by numbness, muscle paralysis, and pest control.

  5. Better Crop Protection!

The crop receives reduced pest damage, improved growth, better quality, and stronger yield potential.

Detailed Process Breakdown

Each stage of Flubendiamide 20% WG’s foliar application, WG dispersion, pest exposure, ryanodine receptor action, larval paralysis, long-duration control, and crop growth support process.

Stage 1

Foliar Spray Application

Apply Flubendiamide 20% WG as a foliar spray at the recommended dose for Lepidopteran pest management.

Stage 2

WG Formulation Dispersion

The water-dispersible granule formulation mixes easily in water and supports uniform spray application.

Stage 3

Target Pest Exposure

Target pests are exposed to Flubendiamide through treated crop surfaces and feeding activity.

Stage 4

Muscle Receptor Disruption

Flubendiamide acts on insect ryanodine receptors, causing uncontrolled calcium release and muscle disturbance.

Stage 5

Larvicidal Activity

Provides pronounced larvicidal action against Lepidopteran larvae such as borers, bollworms, Spodoptera, and diamondback moth.

Continuous

Long-Duration Crop Protection

Supports 15–20 days of effectiveness, reduced crop damage, improved crop growth, and better yield potential when used as recommended.

Product details

Flubendiamide 20% WG insecticide is a new generation diamide compound controlling a wide range of pests. It contains Flubendiamide 20% WG, an advanced water-dispersible granular formulation. It is fast-acting and leads to rapid cessation of target pests. It is relatively safe for plants, humans, and the environment. Flubendiamide 20% WG binds to ryanodine receptors (RyR) in the insect’s muscular system, causing the receptor channels to remain open for a long time and uncontrolled contractions in the muscles occur as a result of the uncontrollable emergence of the Ca+2 ions inside. Feeding of insects stops quickly and numbness, muscle paralysis and death occur, respectively.

Benefits

  1. It is a broad-spectrum insecticide: it controls different types of Lepidopteran insects.
  2. It is pronounced larvicidal activity.
  3. It is cost-effective as it provides long-duration control & has low toxicity.
  4. Flubendiamide 20% WG is safer for beneficial insects and thus a good fit in IPM & IRM systems.
  5. It has a phytotonic effect: it enhances crop growth and development.
  6. It is easy to mix and apply and is not affected by precipitation 2-3 hours after spraying.
